Massimiliano Corsini
The research interests of Massimiliano Corsini are in the field of Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence.
He got Ph.D. studies in Information and Telecommunication Engineering from the Department of Information Engineering of Florence University. From May to December 2004 he was a visiting Ph.D. student at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) where he worked on visual quality assessment. After several years at the Visual Computing Laboratory of the ISTI-CNR, he is now tenure-track (RTD-B) assistant professor at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria "Enzo Ferrari" of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
He worked on appearance and shape acquisition of real objects, advanced visualization for Cultural Heritage applications, and visual media productions. His current research regards the applications of Machine Learning, Computer Graphics and Computer Vision to Digital Humanities, Monitoring, and Mobile Robotics, and Visual Analytics. In these fields, he developed new algorithms and software tools documented in more than 60 publications in peer-review international conferences and journals.
